What are you looking for?

Welcome to COBA 2019, the Customer Owned Banking Convention, the industry’s premier annual convention.

COBA 2019 will be held in the Gold Coast from 10 – 12 November 2019. We look forward to welcoming you to the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre in beautiful Queensland.

‘Stronger Together’ is the theme for this year’s Convention. It is a particularly relevant theme as the strength of the customer owned banking sector is its ability to work together – with each other and with industry partners.

This has always been true, but it has never been truer as the industry continues to evolve to meet the shifting consumer demands and a heightened regulatory environment.

Australia’s customer owned banking continues to outpace the rest of the market because it is seen as a competitive alternative for millions of Australians. With growing assets, strong housing loans and deposit growth, more and more Australians are realising the benefits of customer owned banking.

Coming together is just the beginning. By working together we will achieve success.

Our speakers will talk about the tremendous opportunity for the sector to collaborate and grow, and our exhibitors will show how working with partners is critical for our progress.

Hear from leading speakers such as David Murray, Diane Smith-Gander, former Australian of the Year Lt General David Morrison, APRA Chairman Wayne Byres and a diverse range of speakers on the future of the banking sector and the opportunities for the customer owned banking sector.

We anticipate high interest this year and encourage COBA members, industry stakeholders and suppliers to join us for this signature industry event. In addition to the formal business program I look forward to engaging with you at our signature social events, which are a much loved feature of COBA Conventions.

We look forward to seeing you on the Gold Coast for COBA 2019!
